We were part of the #GameChanger project developed by TechSoup Europe, through which we use gamification to bring to the attention of over 50 children aged 10 to 16 from several rural communities inRomania tools to reduce polarization, discrimination, cyberbullying and phenomena such as hate speech in the online environment. Through role-playing games, we make children understand these issues and relate more harmoniously.
Game Changer promotes tolerance, respect and civic engagement among young people to prevent polarization within communities. Through education, online social media campaigns, and social city games, Game Changer encourages youth to be more accepting of cultural differences, personal preferences and to engage in dialogue to eliminate cultural and lifestyle misconceptions.
